Ireland’s accepted SELT expansions creates new vistas

The pivotal validation of PSI Services’s Skills for English: SELT by the central admissions office in Ireland will expand opportunities for aspiring students.

The doors to 17 prestigious universities across the country have been opened as the test has become an accepted assessment.

Among the comprehensive range of institutions that the approval opens up opportunities to is Trinity College Dublin, recognised as one of the world’s premier universities – marking a historic moment as one of the most prestigious universities to adopt our assessments.

Additionally, University College Dublin, renowned as one of the globe’s foremost recruiting universities, joins this esteemed cohort of institutions accepting Skills for English: SELT.

This landmark achievement reflects the culmination of a dedicated year-and-a-half-long endeavour focused on comprehending the Irish acceptance landscape and effectively securing recognition.

Consequently, tens of thousands of prospective students aiming for English-speaking universities gain access to our test, thereby expanding their educational horizons.

The key acceptance criteria is a minimum entry requirement of B2 Pass with Merit, in addition to relevant entry levels, including Pre-degree courses (Higher or Advanced Certificates) and undergraduate courses (Ordinary or Honours Bachelor Degrees).

The Central Admissions Office, responsible for facilitating admission procedures across Ireland’s universities, has outlined the acceptance criteria for EU/EFTA/UK applicants. The detailed criteria, inclusive of the recognition of Skills for English: SELT, can be accessed through the Central Admissions Office website (CAO Website), specifically listed on page 11.
