Study Group’s partnership with the University of Maine System, a network of public universities in Maine in the US, will end in July, after just three years.

Both Study Group and INTO University Partnerships have expanded their US operations, with the recent announcement of a new US university partnership each.

A focus on pathways with a TNE twist, delivered in-country; better student integration on campus; and increasing sector-wide support for transparency of data around student progression and success were trends to be picked out of a panel discussion on pathway providers that happened this week. This week Study Group has announced three new HE ventures on the back of its 2014 full year report showing 4% growth in EBITDA. The partnerships in the UK and US will help to fuel further growth in the higher education division and offset decline in its ELT entity Embassy English.

A new summer school mini-programme is being launched this year by Study Group's Embassy Summer division that will give students the opportunity to visit some of the USA’s top universities.

A memorial service has been held at Bellerby's College, Cambridge, to commemorate the lives of Yana Baranova and Donna Bull, two Study Group employees who were killed in a plane crash last year. To honour the two women, the company has announced two scholarship funds in their names to fund students at Study Group locations around the UK.

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in the UK has announced a reinforced partnership with Study Group that will aim for a three-fold increase in non-EU student numbers ahead of a new city-centre campus opening in 2017. Meanwhile, the University of Stirling is teaming up with INTO University Partnerships.

International pathway provider Study Group has announced a new partnership with the University of Sheffield, its fourth in the last year, along with encouraging year-end results for 2013. It has also revealed a new business-orientation to add to the portfolio of Embassy English.
