EF’s EPI: Sweden on top; southern Europe flagging

An English Proficiency Index (EPI) compiled annually by EF, published today, has revealed that Sweden is now considered to be the best in the world in terms of English, usurping Norway to take the title and zooming up from fourth position. Meanwhile, southern European countries hit by the eurozone crisis are stagnating at mid-ranking echelons.

EF launches Englishtown in Indonesia

English First, one of the world’s largest English language training companies, has launched its Englishtown e-learning programme in Indonesia. Through Englishtown Indonesia, students have immersive conversation classes online with native speaking teachers in groups of four to five.
