"We also hope to reinvigorate the UK as an English language learning destination"

The new English school division English Path will complement GEDU’s Global Banking School, which offers a range of in-house courses and undergraduate and masters programs in partnership with various UK universities.

“The addition of an English Language school – English Path – to our group will significantly enhance our ability to offer life changing education, providing the tools for even more students to access the high quality education offered by GBS,” said GBS CEO Ray Lloyd.

Along with the Dubai campus, English Path will offer classes in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.

GBS offers up to 90% scholarships to UK residents on Universal Credit, while the new English school is offering a 25% Covid Wellness scholarship to international students booking courses by the end of the year, and taken before the close of 2022.

In addition, English Path will further increase the diversity and vibrancy of GBS offerings, which will in turn enrich “the educational experience for all members of our learning community”, Lloyd continued.

English UK London committee member, Mike Summerfield has been appointed head of the new English language school division.

“Having Mike and his team on board gives us great confidence that English Path will develop into one of the most highly respected providers in the market today,” Lloyd noted.

Mary-Ellen Wright has been appointed academic manager, Roberta Cioffi business development officer and Tomas Murphy academic coordinator.

“An array of attractive destinations at our university style campuses with onsite gyms and cafes combined with a diverse course offering and scholarship scheme will enable English Path to deliver on our mission of providing access to education to all,” explained Summerfield.

“We also hope to reinvigorate the UK as an English language learning destination by showing students and partners that the UK has a growing and exciting English language school scene.”

English Path is also currently recruiting for Business Development Managers.

“By bringing together English language teaching at English Path, we can prepare and develop a variety English courses with our students’ needs and futures at the forefront,” added academic manager, Mary-Ellen Wright.

“Our teachers and students have access to current and engaging classroom resources, technology, and facilities. We are committed to ensuring continued professional development for all staff to ensure we will provide the highest-quality experiences for our students.

“It is an absolute pleasure to work with such experienced and committed team who believe in student-centred and accessible education for all.”
