PIEoneer b-school winner opens on Gold Coast

Kaplan Business School has announced a new campus on the Gold Coast in Australia, bringing its total locations in the country to six.

The campus is set to open for the first trimester classes on March 18

It comes after the provider – which prides itself on its “future-focused, innovative” community – opened a school in Perth in 2020.

In 2023, Kaplan Business School won the inaugural Business School of the Year category at The PIEoneer Awards.

The campus, which is set to open for the first trimester classes on March 18, will begin by offering in-demand postgraduate programs, before expanding to undergraduate courses in following trimesters.

“Kaplan is delighted to be extending its national network of Kaplan Business School campuses to the Gold Coast and in the process, making its progressive postgraduate programs available to students studying in this exciting and rapidly growing city,” the school’s executive director, Steve Knussen, said.

The move comes after the business school’s profit in 2022 rose to AUS$14.7m from $12.2m the previous year.

Research by the Graduate Management Admission Council compiled last year suggested that business school applications were “leveling off” after a boom during the pandemic. Kaplan seems to be bucking the trend.

As Australia’s most popular tourist destination welcoming 11.4 million visitors in 2022, Gold Coast is also ranked among the Global Top 100 Best Student Cities.

“Our stunning new campus provides an incredible regional destination for students to advance their career opportunities and benefit from the award winning supportive and nurturing learning environment at KBS,” Knussen added.
