Languages Canada targeting Turkey/Kazakhstan

Canadian language teaching association, Languages Canada, is organising a roadshow to Turkey and Kazakhstan next month as the organisation believes both countries offer strong potential as a source market for English and French language schools across Canada.

"We’re always so well received in Turkey, we’re happy to be returning"

Turkey has rich history and culture that combines elements of the English and French language – not to mention its youthful population keen on studying abroad, as underlined by research into Turkey’s outbound study market unveiled by the British Council’s Education Intelligence unit.

“Turkey is a very interesting market for us,” said Gonzalo Peralta, Executive Director of Languages Canada. “We feel that Canada, with its two official languages, has a lot to offer in the way of collaboration in education. We’re always so well received in Turkey, we’re happy to be returning.”

The trade mission, happening October 7-8, then contines to Almaty, Kazakhstan on October 10-11.

Guillaum Dubreuil, Manager of International Affairs and Marketing for Languages Canada, explained, “Kazakhstan is a great emerging market for Canadian language schools.

“Their recent investments in international education show that they are serious in having the next generation of students master many languages and possess international experience.”

This part of the mission will also benefit from Government of Canada support and participation.

Languages Canada represents 197 member programmes, offering private and public sector education options.
