New phase for Kings-Wisconsin partnership

Pathway provider Kings Education has signed a third contract with the University of Wisconsin, penning an agreement with its UW-Stout campus.

UW-Stout is known locally as the state’s “Polytechnic University”

It comes after its long-standing existing partnerships with both Wisconsin’s Oshkosh and Fox Cities campuses.

The Stout campus adds to Kings’ portfolio as a university with a “technology-driven” ethos – and is known locally as the state’s “Polytechnic University”.

“Kings’ vast global network will bring increased diversity to our campus community, enhance our campuswide internationalisation efforts, and provide participating students with pathways to academic and career success, all of which align with our polytechnic mission,” said Scott Pierson, director of the Office for International Education at the institution.

It takes Kings’ partnership with the overarching institution into a “practical”, more industry-focused phase.

UW-Stout offers over 20 career-facing Master’s degrees in Applied Mathematics, Food Science, Operations and Supply Management and Manufacturing Engineering, among others.

The roster also includes over 45 undergraduate degrees, which include the popular course with international students Business and Management, as well as Hospitality Management, IT and Comms, and STEM subjects.

“UW-Stout offers the most comprehensive STEM degrees in the system and the range of undergraduate and graduate degrees offered at UW-Stout will appeal strongly to many international student markets,” said Kings US managing director, Jose Antonio Flores.

“This commitment reflects the mutual success achieved between Kings and the Universities over the past few years,” he further remarked.

“Kings’ vast global network will bring increased diversity to our campus community”

UW-Stout already offers “dedicated support” for international students and also sports a small ratio between student and faculty – 18 to one.

Based in Menomonie, in western Wisconsin, the campus also lies an hour from Minneapolis airport, a hub for both national and international airlines.

The first enrolment for the new partnership is set for the Fall intake in 2024.

“We are proud and delighted that the Universities of Wisconsin system has chosen to extend our long term partnership by signing this latest agreement with the UW-Stout campus.

“We look forward to many more years of success together,” Flores added.
