French language schools offer two-city course

Two of France’s best-known language schools have joined forces to offer a new course in which learners study in two different regions of France.

French in Normandy and Accent Français are offering students a course spread over two French cities.

“We have a lot of similarities in the way we welcome the students"

The tie-up between French in Normandy and Accent Français allows learners to spend two weeks at Accent in Montpellier on the Mediterranean, and two weeks at FIN in Normandy. They can also spend a weekend in Paris in transit.

“We are doing this to give students a chance to discover two of the most beautiful and historic regions of France”

Eleri Maitland of French in Normandy told The PIE News: “We are doing this to give students a chance to discover two of the most beautiful and historic regions so they get a more ‘complete’ picture of the country as they get to experience the North and the South.”

The course costs €1,824 which covers tests, teaching materials and certificates. Accommodation is available as a half-board homestay. Students can book and start the course with either school and then finish it at the other, and the course is certified by both providers.

Virginie Courau of Accent Français said the schools were working hard to market the course as a unique offer in the French language market. The partnership was based on the schools’ common qualities, she added.

“We have a lot of similarities in the way we welcome the students, the way we promote our regions and we had many opportunities to discuss quality and improvement as we meet regularly in our Quality Work group as members of Groupement Fle, and also when traveling for international fairs abroad,” she said.
