The company hopes to expand into further markets beyond Europe in the future

This round of funding was raised by independent investment firm Peninsula Capital and private investment from a major Italian family. The cash will be used to scale-up operations, focusing on the French market, develop the face-to-face team and drive Research and Development.

“In a crowded category of language learning tools and applications, Fluentify already stands out”

“The latest commitment to Fluentify, from two key investors, is a testament to the pace of the company’s growth and the potential for its language learning mission,” said Giacomo Moiso, CEO and co-founder of Fluentify.

“Bilingualism can offer individuals a competitive edge in the job market and we’re seeing increasingly strong demand for the product as a result,” Moiso said, adding Fluentify looks forward to scaling up its Europe presence in the coming months.

The company has previously focused on Southern Europe, primarily in Italy and Spain, and there is hope to expand into further markets beyond Europe in the future.

Claudio Bosco, co-founder and COO, said the investment is really important for the company’s future growth and network.

“We are really proud to see that [Peninsular Capital] is investing in Fluentify further.”

The company, with headquarters in London, links learners with native English teachers through a video conferencing platform, giving access 24/7, meaning students can create custom plans depending on when they have time.

Stefano Marsaglia is managing director of Peninsular Capital, which specialises in Private Equity investments in Southern European markets and Latin America.

“In a crowded category of language learning tools and applications, Fluentify already stands out with a unique value proposition and ability to provide personalised tuition from fully qualified, experienced teachers,” Marsaglia said.
