Employability driving mobility, says OECD

Nearly 4.3 million students studied tertiary education outside their country of citizenship in 2011, according to the OECD's latest Education at a Glance report. The report suggests students are increasingly seeking a foreign education to boost their chances in the global job market, but warns a slowdown in scholarships could impair mobility.

Overseas enrolments up 99% since 2000, OECD

The number of students enrolled in tertiary education outside of their country of origin reached 4.1 million in 2010, according to new research from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development – up from 3.7 million in 2009 and by a staggering 99% since 2000.
