ICEF Moscow: close to 500 delegates

This year’s ICEF Moscow Workshop broke all previous records, according to the company, with almost 500 delegates attending the event. The workshop builds business connections between regional education agencies and educators from around the world.

"This year a lot of educators came to Moscow for the first time"

“What a fantastic workshop! It brought like-minded people together to work and to have fun” said attendee, Nadejda Seliouk of Streamline Language School Agency in Belarus.

She was one of 252 student recruitment agents from Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus (Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Moldova and Tajikistan) at the event.

These education agents held business meetings with 152 educational institutions and 11 exhibitors from 19 countries around the world.

“This year a lot of educators came to Moscow for the first time. It was really interesting to meet them – I hope that we can build strong partnerships,” said Natalia Luchina of Russian agency, Insight Lingua. She added, “”For me this workshop is always very productive.”

Educator, Angelika Volkman from the University of California – Irvine in the USA, commended the quality of agencies attending: “For me, the quality of agents is most important, and there was plenty of quality at this workshop!”

Social events within the workshop programme provided a great platform for additional networking and relationship building. Participants were treated to a taste of Russian culture, enjoying a traditional music and dance performance at the dinner reception. “The hospitality was outstanding! The music at the party was second to none!” said Gary Reagan, Principal of Golden Hills School in Canada.

During the Moscow Workshop, 7 agent participants passed the ICEF agent training course certification exam, earning them the designation ICEF Trained Agent Counsellor (ITAC). The new ITACs – who come from Armenia, Russia and Ukraine – have raised the total number of ITACs to 116.
