Chris Auty

London Film School, UK. Chris Auty is to be the new director of the LFS. Chris has been a senior head of department at the National Film and Television School for the past ten years where, apart from his role as head of producing and supervising the development / production of up to 30 short films a year and running the National Film School’s two-year MA producing programme, he has also been responsible for designing, validating and running new MA courses. Prior to his role at NFTS, Chris worked extensively in the film industry. He was founder and CEO of The Works plc, and before that managing director of the recorded picture Company.  Chris commented: “I’m delighted to be taking on the leadership of this renowned film school in the heart of London. It happens to be the place where my own journey into film began – working with LFS alumnus Miguel Pereira on his first feature film. Catrin Diamantino

Andrew Sherman

Andrew’s personal academic journey includes a graduate degree in international education from Harvard University, advanced graduate studies in Latin American history, organisational leadership, and educational administration. Andrew’s leadership in Latin American school communities is noteworthy, having held positions as head of school at Westhill Institute in Mexico City, Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador, and at the American School of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. “This new role provides an opportunity to enhance school improvement initiatives in the more than 350 schools accredited by Cognia as well as engaging in significant growth of our services by assisting an increasing number of schools in Latin America. I am excited by the prospect of the potential impact this work can have on educational quality throughout the region.”

 

Svetlana Iakovleva

Svetlana Iakovleva has moved from the role of regional recruitment and academic projects director to the role of director of international enrolment management at Amerigo Education. Before that, Svetlana was responsible for recruiting academically strong students from the EE&CA market as soon as she joined Amerigo in 2017. This year Svetlana celebrates a 20-year anniversary of working in the international education industry. She is sure that being a part of this dynamic industry gives a great opportunity to grow personally and professionally by exploring educational systems in different countries as well as various areas of educator’s profession. Svetlana says: “There is a perception in the industry that the admissions work could be boring. These days it  is definitely not as it involves IT technologies, new platforms  to explore and data to analyse. I have a feeling that the enrolment work has become a part of ed tech and keeps moving into this direction.”

Chris Tagg

David Parrott

David joins UniQuest following 15 years of admissions experience within universities, at Roehampton University and, more recently, Imperial College London, where he has held the position of head of admissions since 2017. Chris has previously worked for Global Student Accommodation as its director of business development, and prior to that was its managing director for Spain.  He also works concurrently as an adjunct professor of public private partnerships on global masters in real estate development at the IE School of Architecture and Design. Kate Pickering

Before joining Edvoy she worked at Dentsu, an international marketing agency, with global B2C and B2B clients ranging from the British Red Cross through to Amazon Web Services. Pritika Bansal

Charlie Horwood

ETS, Global. ETS International UK has appointed Charlie Horwood as its GRE & TOEFL client relations outreach manager for the UK and Ireland. Charlie has over six years experience in the higher education industry and previously worked for Pearson in their online learning services function. During this time Charlie managed the student recruitment functions for a number of Pearson’s partner universities, working closely with academic leads, deans of schools and heads of admissions to help grow their online postgraduate offerings and increase their international student numbers. He is excited about the opportunity to develop the profile of the GRE and TOEFL Tests with universities and business schools across the UK and Ireland. Nick Carey
