International students are being forced to change their plans as universities grapple with accommodation shortages in cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht and Glasgow.
While study abroad students evacuate the country, international students on full courses face a difficult decision as sanctions hit and departing flights grow increasingly expensive.
A new report, entitled “World Changing Glasgow: Our Economic Impact”, cited that £631m was associated with the University of Glasgow’s educational exports.
