We are the only province in Canada with any entity like BCCIE. So we’re more nimble to react quickly and able to do things that government may not be able to. Because of that I think we are seen as leaders in a number of fields.

BCCIE’s 2014 int. education award winners unveiled

Distinguished education leaders from around Canada and abroad were able to congratulate the latest winners of the BCCIE's International Education Awards this week, during a gala event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver. Winners represented private and public education sectors and were selected by a peer committee.

BC rolls out compulsory quality assurance

British Columbia in Canada is to tighten its quality requirements for post-secondary institutions and language schools. As of June 2014, all eligible institutions will be required to sign up to its Education Quality Assurance scheme (EQA), in light of upcoming changes to the International Student Programme.

BCCIE contest celebrates students’ stories

The personal stories of international students in British Columbia will take centre stage in the second annual ‘StudyinBC’ contest administered by the British Columbia Council for International Education (BCCIE) to promote study in the province. Organisers are expecting at least 100 submissions this year of photos, videos and blog entries.
