Business schools that seize the opportunity to rethink their delivery modes and offer more flexible admissions processes could prosper as a result of the Covid-19 crisis, report stakeholders.

The UK's Association of Business Schools has reached its largest membership roll since it was founded in 1992, in part due to a push to attract more foreign members. International students account for more than 25% of the student population at business schools in the UK, while 86% studying an MBA come from abroad.

UK Home Secretary Theresa May today announced more major changes to the immigration system to ensure that student visas are not a "backdoor route" to working in Britain. More than 100,000 prospective visa applicants will now be interviewed. Yet May also relaxed conditions for those at the top of the academic tree – PhD and MBA graduates will find it easier to stay and seek work.

About one in three international students in the UK is studying business and management. And if there are half a million students studying UK degrees offshore, 350,000 are studying business management. That's a huge market for us.
