Over 650 delegates from 450 businesses spanning over 120 countries across the world attended the 23rd World Youth & Student Travel Conference (WYSTC) in Dublin from September 23-26. Highlights included a networking reception in the impressive Trinity College Dublin, whose notable alumni include Oscar Wilde as well as a closing keynote from explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes and the Global Youth Travel awards, which this year included new categories voted for by over 7,500 people aged under 35. Speaking to The PIE News about the success of the conference David Chapman, Director General WYSE Travel Confederation said: “There is a good buzz, they’re meeting a lot of good contacts, they’re writing good business, the Convention Centre’s very conducive to doing the business.”
