The British Educational Travel Association (BETA) celebrated its 11th anniversary on the Terrace of the House of Lords on July 14 in London. Delegates included MPs and industry leaders as well as a number of educational institutions, accommodation providers, transport providers, student tour operators and others. Honorary BETA President Dick Porter was also awarded with a prize for his contribution to the association. “I think BETA is a fantastic organisation and I think we’ve achieved a lot in terms of visibility,” said Porter. “We’re now using a language of strategy and a language of opportunity,” he added.
