Our Advisory Board currently comprises:
Stephen Shortt, Managing Director of Alpha College of English, one of the leading English language schools in Dublin. He is highly involved in the international education and inward tourism sectors in Ireland. Stephen has a keen interest in social media marketing and has delivered seminars and workshops internationally and online, focusing on using social media strategies, tools and techniques in the international education sphere.
Stephen is also interested in archery, is the founding chairman of Liffey Archers Club, Dublin, and is actively involved with Archery Ireland.
Samuel Vetrak, Founder and CEO of StudentMarketing. Based in Slovakia, Samuel runs a market research and business development company specialising in the global youth, student and educational travel market.
The company was founded to meet the glaring need for strategic market intelligence on the fast growing but under documented youth and student travel industry.
Today, Samuel travels extensively presenting at conferences and workshops. His company provides comprehensive insight on global student mobility patterns and market trends.
Stephan Roussounis, Director of Stafford House School of English, UK. Since August 2010, Stephan has been developing a year round ELT business for Cambridge Education Group, one of the UK’s leading private education providers.
Prior to this role he worked as Business Development Director of Malvern House in the UK for 8 years, helping it grow into one of the largest independent language schools in the world. In 2008, Stephan launched the first language school in Cyprus, The Language Explorer, to the market. He is also a member of the English UK Enterprises Board.
Jon Aizlewood, Managing Director of Carbon Graffiti. Jon manages a boutique digital marketing & design studio in Brighton, UK. You might have seen him speak at a few recent English UK conferences, where he likes to prophesize on the future of digital marketing and the web.
Always researching, following and adopting the very latest in technological trends and innovations in the digital space, Jon is an expert on web design and digital marketing strategy and development, and his company built The PIE’s website. He once worked at Study Group, where he managed the multichannel & multilingual e-marketing programmes.
Kevin McNally, Managing Director at TIS, UK. Kevin has worked in the language travel industry for many years and at every level, from teacher to school principal, and is now co-owner and Managing Director of Torquay International School, based in Torquay, Devon, UK.
Kevin was previously with London-based operations and so has wide experience of Language Travel from a UK-wide perspective. Having been a partner at Hampstead School of English and Marketing Director at Experience English group (TUI Travel) he also has broad industry experience and knowledge, from independent to corporate. He is a member of the English UK Enterprises Board.
