Advisory Board

We are delighted to have an advisory board, with various industry stakeholders who all have great insight and strategic vision contributing to the development of The PIE as it progresses.

Our Advisory Board currently comprises:

Sue Blundell,  Executive Director of English Australia. Prior to heading up English Australia, Sue worked in the international English language industry, both overseas and in Australia, as an educator, marketer and manager. She has a wealth of experience across all aspects of the international education and language travel industry.

Sue is also the immediate past Convenor of the Global Alliance of Education and Language Associations (GAELA), a member of the DIAC Education Visa Consultative Committee and a member of the NSW Premier’s Council on International Education.  Sue was presented with the IEAA Excellence in Leadership in International Education Award in 2011.



Samuel Vetrak, Founder and CEO of StudentMarketing. Based in Slovakia, Samuel runs a market research and business development company specialising in the global youth, student and educational travel market.

The company was founded to meet the glaring need for strategic market intelligence on the fast growing but under documented youth and student travel industry.

Today, Samuel travels extensively presenting at conferences and workshops. His company provides comprehensive insight on global student mobility patterns and market trends.


Stephan Roussounis, Director of Stafford House School of English, UK. Since August 2010, Stephan has been developing a year round ELT business for Cambridge Education Group, one of the UK’s leading private education providers.

Prior to this role he worked as Business Development Director of Malvern House in the UK for 8 years, helping it grow into one of the largest independent language schools in the world. In 2008, Stephan launched the first language school in Cyprus, The Language Explorer, to the market. He is also a member of the English UK Enterprises Board.


Jon Aizlewood, Managing Director of Carbon Graffiti. Jon manages a boutique digital marketing & design studio in Brighton, UK. You might have seen him speak at a few recent English UK conferences, where he likes to prophesize on the future of digital marketing and the web.

Always researching, following and adopting the very latest in technological trends and innovations in the digital space, Jon is an expert on web design and digital marketing strategy and development, and his company built The PIE’s website. He once worked at Study Group, where he managed the multichannel & multilingual e-marketing programmes


Kevin McNally, Director of Sales and Marketing at ELC Group, UK. Kevin has worked in the language travel industry for many years and at every level, from teacher to school principal, and is now Director of Sales and Marketing at ELC Group, which currently comprises four schools.

Kevin heads up a team of six and is charged with establishing a new brand for the businesses, all of which have been acquired by TUI Travel. He was previously a Partner at Hampstead School of English in London, prior to this role with ELC Group. He is also a member of the English UK Board.
