London-based education company Twin Group has announced the acquisition of LTC Eastbourne, a 65-year-old English language school on the south coast of England.
This marks a strengthening of position for Twin Group, which already has a business operation in the coastal town and will now consolidate operations in Eastbourne.
LTC was previously run by principal Paul Clark, who said, “It’s gratifying to note Twin’s appreciation for our business and I look forward to being a continuing presence in this next phase of our development.”
The school, founded in 1954, is set in an 18th century mansion, a Grade-1 listed building with 23 classrooms, on-site accommodation for more than 130 junior students and a tennis court.
Caroline Fox, CEO of Twin Group, commented, “We are delighted to welcome LTC into the Twin group and excited to be able to offer a study environment unlike any other in this part of the UK – we see great potential to grow our business here.”
She added, “Our students who often visit historic sites can actually live and study in one during their time with Twin in Eastbourne.”
Twin Group is an integrated provider of education, training and career development courses, working with British clients via UK government contracts and a track record of 25 years teaching international students.
It operates a number of English language teaching centres and summer residential sites for young learners in the UK and Ireland.
The company has also recently announced the appointment of Simon Baker in the role of global sales director for Twin Training International.
