ILSC Education Group is set to open its fourth school in Australia in December with a new campus in Adelaide, citing “incredible growth” in student demand for the expansion.

“Adelaide is consistently ranked as one of the world’s most liveable cities”

Adding to its schools in Sydney and Brisbane, operating since 2010, and its Melbourne location, which opened in 2016, the Adelaide campus will give students the opportunity to study in the “jewel of South Australia”.

“Our school opening in Adelaide, Australia, which will be our fourth Australian location and eighth globally, is part of our strategy to provide ILSC’s unique, transformative living and learning experiences in more world-class destinations,” said ILSC CEO and president Paul Schroeder.

“Adelaide is consistently ranked as one of the world’s most liveable cities. Known as the “Festival City”, it hosts dozens of events each year including the Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.

“It’s also the gateway to South Australia’s world-famous vineyards and beaches,” he added.

The school’s first intake of students of English language and Foundation programs will be December 2, and will initially cater to eligible Visitor Visa and Working Holiday Visa holders until the school gains CRICOS approval for overseas student cohorts.

More than 220,000 students have been taught by ILSC over the past 27 years, while its ELT division, ILSC Language Schools, has been offering language training programs to students from more than 100 countries since 1991.

The language school’s locations around the world include Vancouver, Toronto and Montréal in Canada, and New Delhi in India, in addition to its Australian campuses.

In 2018, ELICOS student numbers increased 1% to 179,300 according to statistics from English Australia.
