Russian language school, Liden & Denz Language Centres, has rolled out a new system for students to book tickets to social and cultural events via their website.

While the company’s Moscow and St Petersburg schools have posted an updated schedule of cultural events for some time, students can now book and pay for events with a credit card or Paypal account – even before they arrive in Russia.

Walter Denz, co-founder and owner of the company, said: “Students can check the schedule anytime, anywhere and decide at short notice if they want to go on a themed walking tour or book an excursion.

“For learners staying four weeks or less it will definitely make sense to book activities before they actually start with their studies,” he added.

The school will continue to advertise its own events alongside those happening in the city, including its city orientation tours and vodka-champagne parties. Students can also be updated of new events automatically via an RSS feed to their personal or tablet computers. “The live schedule helps to make the most out of the Russia experience,” said Denz.

Liden & Denz is one of Russia’s first private language schools, having been set up after the fall of communism in the early 90s. It is an official preparation and testing centre for the TRKI, or “TORFL” (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) state exam.
