EC Higher Education, a division of Maltese-owned EC, has signed a Global Pathway Programme agreement with DePaul University in Chicago to help international students achieving their academic goals.
“I feel confident that with EC’s wealth of resources… DePaul University will be well-equipped to meet its goals”
This new collaboration will see the EC helping the university strengthen its international profile. The company will use its range of resources, experience in the industry and extensive network of recruitment partners based in-country around the world.
Andrew Mangion, EC’s executive chairman, said the joint agreement is a great achievement for their company.
“I feel confident that with EC’s wealth of resources and experience in international recruitment, coupled with our network of in-country partners, DePaul University will be well-equipped to meet its goals as a culturally diverse institution of higher learning,” he added.
DePaul University is one of the largest in the US and it is ranked 120th in National Universities by US News and World Report (2018).
The university already welcomes international students from 114 countries around the world and, through its relationship with EC, it will expand its support for international students both academically and culturally according to Alex Parnia, president of EC Higher Education.
“The university is already well-versed in welcoming international students, and we are excited to reinforce their efforts in reaching students from across the globe and supporting them during their time at DePaul.”
Upon completion of the GPP, international students looking to study at the university will be able to enrol in full-time courses at the university if all other admission requirements are met.
“We look forward to offering our international students a more holistic experience with increased support, thereby providing a smoother transition into life on campus,” GianMario Besana, associate provost for Global Engagement and Online Learning at DePaul University added.
