The Aston Education Group, a global education group providing language training, K-12 education, and educational and cultural exchanges, has moved into the pathway sector through a new partnership with Post University in the US.

“We’re thrilled that Aston will be helping us bring students to our traditional New England campus. This partnership is a great match”

The deal will see Aston provide an on-campus Intensive English Program and university pathway for international students. Students who complete the programme will be able to progress directly to undergraduate study at Post in Waterbury, Connecticut, removing the requirement for them to take the TOEFL or IELTS.

It will also offer short-term certificates for international students, enabling them to experience life on a university campus without having to complete a full degree.

The programme is Aston’s first university partnership in the US, but joins a stable of schools in Aston’s North America division, StudyAston, that include language schools in Austin, Texas and Toronto, Canada and a K-12 school in San Diego, California.

Post University’s president, Donald Mroz, said the new centre will help international students ease into campus life, “which already includes a vibrant culture including students from 17 countries”.

“We’re thrilled that Aston will be helping us bring students to our traditional New England campus,” he commented. “This partnership is a great match, marrying Post’s strong ELI and academic programming with Aston’s worldwide success with student placement.”

The new StudyAston centre will welcome its first cohort of students in autumn 2016.
