UNICENTRES, a university pathways brand offered by leading language chain Eurocentres, has recently announced its sixth UK partner for its International Business Foundation programme, the University of Essex.

UNICENTRES, a university pathways brand offered by leading language chain Eurocentres, has recently announced its sixth UK partner for its International Business Foundation programme, the University of Essex.

The International Business Foundation programme allows international students to progress to business-related undergraduate degrees at any of Eurocentres institutional partners in the UK.

The programme is currently taught at the UNICENTRES hub in the area of Belgravia in London, and allows international students to study in central London before they make their decision about where they wish to progress for their undergraduate programme.

“UNICENTRES off-campus offer aims to give students a better introduction to life in the UK than a large impersonal university campus does,” the company said in a statement.

Sheffield Hallam became Eurocentres’ first UK partner in 2012. Since then, Kingston University, Birmingham City University, Northumbria University and York St John University became partners in 2014.

Similar to other partnerships, the union with the University of Essex will allow students to progress to this institution in order to undertake a business, accounting, banking & finance, marketing or law degree.

“We feel that, as with all our partners, the University of Essex is a good fit for UNICENTRES and complements our renowned high quality teaching,” said Stefan Green, the head of UNICENTRES.

“This, combined with our promise to work with our partners throughout the student’s university course, make UNICENTRES the best option for international students preparing for university in the UK.”

Eurocentres launched its UNICENTRES pathway brand in the spring of last year and recruitment began in September. For 2015, Green said there are plans to increase new course options in order to present students with a wider range of final degree options.
