Students from Fleming College’s School of Business in Ontario, Canada will now have the opportunity to study in Finland under a new exchange agreement signed with Turku University of Applied Sciences.
Up to five eligible students from each institution will be able to take part in an exchange annually, spending up to one academic year at the partner institution.
“Opportunities to study abroad are enriching for our students”
The agreement applies to the Business Administration and Business Administration – Marketing programs at Fleming, while at TUAS, the agreement applies to the Industrial Management and Engineering Bachelor of Engineering, and four Business Administration Bachelors of Business Administration – Professional Sales, Business Logistics, International Business, and Business.
“Opportunities to study abroad are enriching for our students, allowing them to experience different cultures and business practices and gain an international outlook, which is imperative in today’s connected, global economy,” said Maxine Mann, dean of Fleming College’s School of Business and School of Trades and Technology.
She added that they also look forward to receiving students from Turku University of Applied Sciences at Fleming College.
“While they will be here to learn from us, we believe there is also much to learn from their perspective as they will further contribute to the diversity of voices in our classrooms,” Mann said.
Earlier in 2018, online student choice platform Studyportals revealed that interest in Finland from prospective non-EU students hit at an ‘all-time low’ since tuition fees were announced in 2016.
