UK student accommodation provider Student Roost is set to open its 50th location. The Oaks is the provider’s first property in Warwick, and it will open in two phases, offering accommodation options to more than 1,000 students.
“It means we can give this extra peace of mind to students that their accommodation is ready for them to move in”
The property incorporates amenities which have proved popular at Student Roost’s 49 properties in 19 other UK university cities, the organisation’s chief investment officer Stephen Rigby said.
“It’s really pleasing to see the successful completion of The Oaks, a fantastic development near Warwick University which is in a new market for us,” Rigby explained.
Together with development partners at McLaren Property, the project has “successfully overcome the current challenges presented to the construction industry” due to the coronavirus, and has been completed ahead of schedule, he added.
It will be delivered in two phases, with The Oaks 1 providing 378 beds while The Oaks 2 will add another 638 beds.
“There’s a lot of uncertainty and stress at the moment for university students, so I’m especially pleased that The Oaks has been completed ahead of schedule,” added Nathan Goddard, Student Roost CEO.
“It means we can give this extra peace of mind to students that their accommodation is ready for them to move in,” Goddard continued.
Student Roost has also introduced a ‘Booking Promise’, which guarantees residents’ bookings are protected if course dates are delayed or they cannot travel to their accommodation.
Additionally, residents can opt to cancel bookings at no extra charge in some cases.
