Outsourcing and technical services provider, VFS Global, has partnered with student verification platform Probitas Quad to combine the firms’ products for prospective international students looking to Australia.

‘Probitas Global’ will provide international students with visa support services, as well as helping institutions support the visa applications of their prospective students.

“Working with PQ will allow VFS Global to leverage our significant experience in providing high-quality services to governments, to create a unique student verification and visa support service to the global education sector,” said Dusty Amroliwala, COO of VFS Global.

“The vision for Probitas Global goes well beyond these current services”

The partnership is the latest development for PQ, which launched earlier this year to provide Australian institutions with student verification services. It is a consolidation with VFS Global, which was also looking to enter into the verification market.

PQ chief executive Andrew Durston said the arrangement would scale up both companies’ efforts while providing a strategic directive to continue into further arrangements.

“The vision for Probitas Global goes well beyond… current services, as the clear intention from both partners is to build a range of technology-based services to assist HEIs recruiting internationally,” he said.

“VFS Global with their significant resources, global footprint, and large staff familiar with visa services and requirements, are the ideal partner to bring scale and local knowledge to all the key markets from which HEIs recruit international students.”

Among its aims, Durston told The PIE News Probitas Global would help verify students from important source markets, such as India, as well as support institutions with their efforts to attract students from new and emerging markets.

“The market has been telling us in very clear terms that they are focused on expanding their geographic marketing reach, but they are also well aware of the risks and therefore the need to implement a coherent risk mitigation strategy,” he said.

“Probitas Global will follow the PQ model of being an independent provider of professional services to HEIs.”
