Computer-based testing provider Pearson VUE has announced a collaboration with identity verification software manufacturer Regula Forensics to enhance its remote exam verification process.
The high-stakes exams provider will use Regula’s ID verification tool to detect fraudulent ID presented by a proxy candidate. The solution will be seamlessly integrated into the Pearson VUE system.
“We pride ourselves on operating to the highest standards around test security,” said Farzana Ashraf, CTO & SVP, Products & Services at Pearson VUE.
“One of the challenges we faced was designing an efficient process to validate IDs as authentic and valid – no matter which country in the world they come from.”
The Regula Document Reader SDK compares test-taker’s government-issued IDs against its extensive database, including more than 10,000 document templates from 248 countries and territories and covers 98 different languages.
“Regula’s technology offers global coverage and fast verification of government-issued identification documents,” Ashraf continued.
“Not only have we enhanced our fraud prevention process, but we continue to offer a consistent candidate experience”
