Premium language school group, OISE, has begun promoting five of its schools in the UK and Canada as “English by Octorial” and is encouraging student mobility between the centres.
The schools will maintain their original branding but will be identified as part of the new English by Octorial group because they all implement the same academic programme centred around teaching groups of eight students.
“We want to give the message that the schools have the same academic programme in common”
Schools under the new identity are: Edinburgh School of English, Eckersley Oxford, MLS in Montreal and Harven School of English and School of English Studies both in England.
“Our philosophy at OISE has been to keep brand names of acquired schools prominent as we think there is value in that,” Angela Radford, Head of Sales and Marketing, told The PIE News.
“But it came to a point where we wanted to promote them more externally and give the message that they have the same academic programme in common.”
Because curriculum is the same at each centre and price points are identical, Radford said students are urged to move to different locations within the group in order to have access to different teachers and settings.
“They can move around to other schools without having any academic gap,” she commented.
The company has also begun linking classes in different schools via Skype to create debates and interaction among students within the group.
Founded in 1973, OISE has grown to become a leading global language group with OISE branded and independently named schools in the USA, Canada, Australia and across Europe.
It offers courses in English, Spanish, German and French in small groups or one-to-one at premium prices.
