The UK higher education sector has a new marketing and recruitment company, UniQuest, joining the ranks of specialised agencies helping universities and colleges benefit from big data, marketing insight and a strategic approach to international student enrolment.
The two co-founders previously worked for Hobsons. UniQuest is embracing new technologies to deploy high-touch, multi-channel communications and campaigns. It also enables institutions to develop a single view of the student journey from enquiry to enrolment.
“The people we’re working with in universities are time-poor, they’re often wearing many hats. We provide a professional, cutting-edge service that I don’t believe can be deployed as efficiently and cost-effectively from within a university,” co-founder Rachel Fletcher told The PIE News.
“There is an important opportunity to deliver relevant, tailored support to universities around their student engagement and conversion activities,” she said, noting that data mined about the recruitment process “helps anticipate change and reinforce, or drive, some of the big strategic decisions that institutions have to make”.

Among its services, the firm’s consulting programme also includes mystery shopping, a prospective student survey and a website and social media audit that can also indicate future demand.
While the company is in its early stages, Fletcher and Letcher have over 30 years of combined experience in the market.
