The London School of Business & Finance (LSBF) has been awarded the 2013 Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its contribution to UK trade. LSBF) has been awarded the 2013 Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its contribution to UK trade. The organisation, which delivers higher education and English language training worldwide, also launched a new campus and pathway programme in Canada this month.
The Queen’s award, which is conferred by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister, goes to organisations with “outstanding performance in international trade, innovation and sustainable development”. LSBF is one of the few private higher education institutions to have won the award.

Professor Maurits van Rooijen, rector & CEO of LSBF, said: “We are extremely proud to be presented with such a prestigious honour as the Queen’s Awards.

LSBF, which teaches more than 25,000 students from over 150 nations at its campuses – worldwide and online – said it had seen “great expansion and development”. Over the last 10 years it has opened additional campuses in the UK, Singapore and Canada and regional offices in over 10 cities around the world.
This month it opened a new campus in Toronto – its second in the city. It will provide “career-focused English courses” to around 200 students.
LSBF is also partnering with the
British Columbia Institute of Technology to offer a new pathway programme leading to MBAs at selected universities in Europe and North America.
