Successful private Russian language teaching organisation, Liden & Denz Language Centre, is to open its third language centre, this time in Riga, Latvia; an EU member state.

Owner Walter Denz explained that Latvia’s capital city was the ideal location for his third hub, given it has a majority of Russian speakers because of the long-lasting Soviet occupation (Latvia restored sovereignty in 1991).

The new language school will open in January 2014 and is happening thanks to a cooperation reached between Liden & Denz and local business Education Centre Durbe, both of which are members of quality organisation EAQUALS.

Denz said, “This is the first time ever we enter such a close cooperation. Our partner school has made great efforts to bring their course portfolio, starting dates and syllabi in line with ours. This will allow students to move easily from Riga to St.Petersburg and Moscow or vice versa.”

Latvia is a member of the European Union, meaning easy travel access across the EU

Nora Poisa, owner of Education Centre Durbe, added, “Our two teams have worked hard to create a win-win situation with the aim of bringing more students to our beautiful city.

“Liden & Denz have an impressive agent base and are the market leader for providing Russian courses. Teaming up with them makes absolute sense to us.”

The school will be situated in the historical heart of Riga, which is served well by airlines including Ryanair and AirBaltic. Latvia is a member of the European Union, meaning easy travel access across the EU, and is adopting the euro as its currency next year.
