University pathway specialists Kings has partnered with The University of Bristol to develop a new program that will provide international students with a dedicated and guaranteed pathway to the university.

Through the University of Bristol Pathway Programme, students will receive a conditional offer from both the University of Bristol and Kings before they leave home.

“We look forward to welcoming these pathway students to our university family”

Students can then follow a one-year Foundation or two-year A-level program at one of Kings’ UK colleges, and once they have successfully completed their Kings course to the required level they will proceed directly to Bristol.

During their time at Kings, students will have regular visits to Bristol as well as on-going communication and support from University staff to ensure a “soft landing” into the UK education system.

Lorna Cuckow, deputy director of International and head of International Partnerships & Relations at The University of Bristol said the university hopes the new international foundation pathway agreement will increase international access to a Bristol undergraduate education.

“We… look forward to welcoming these international pathway students to our university family,” she added.

Founded in 1876, the university is home to 23,000 students from more than 150 countries.

Director at Kings Andrew Hutchinson added that Kings is “delighted” to be partnered with a university that enjoys such a reputation
for excellence.

“Bristol is a name synonymous with academic quality; it is recognised globally as a world-class university,” he said.

“We believe our model of supportive, friendly college communities backed by exceptional pre-university teaching is the perfect fit with Bristol.”

Kings is currently recruiting students on to the programs which will start in September 2019 and January 2020.
