International English language courses and university preparation programmes provider, Kaplan International, is expanding its global footprint with its first office in Mexico to meet demand from Mexican students wanting to study abroad.

Kaplan currently serves around 150 Mexican students and the new centre in Polanco, Mexico City will cater for students interested in one of its 45 schools across the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malta.

It will also advise Mexican students considering higher education options in the UK or the USA as well as offering students a guaranteed place at one of Kaplan’s partner universities in both these regions following successful completion of their respective university preparation courses.

The USA, Canada and the UK are currently the most sought after study destinations for Kaplan’s Mexican students

“We are delighted to be opening this office in Polanco so that we can be closer to the growing numbers of Mexican students who want to study abroad,” said Country Manager of Kaplan International Mexico, Mauricio Espinosa.

“Our staff are extremely experienced in working with the student population and we will provide expert services to meet the needs of our students, whether that is for English language teaching or preparing for entry to US or UK universities,” he added.

The USA, Canada and the UK are currently the most sought after study destinations for Kaplan’s Mexican students, followed by Australia and New Zealand.

Global CEO of Kaplan International David Jones and Espinosa officially opened the new centre and welcomed representatives of the British Council, the US Department of State, the Australian Trade Commission and a number of universities.

Famous Mexican actors Lamda Garcia and Roberto Carlo and artist Nunzia Rojo de la Vega also attended the launch.
