Kaplan International Colleges will run an extra premises for its English language school in central Cambridge, UK, this summer to meet growing demand. The pop-up school, open July 9 to August 17, will complement Kaplan’s main school on Barton Road and serve more than 200 students.
A spokesperson for Kaplan said: “Year round we are reaching capacity at our main school and this summer we have experienced 25% growth on last year.
“Cambridge is proving to be a very popular destination at the moment, and as we are actively striving to make Kaplan International Colleges Cambridge the school of choice in the city it means that our student numbers are on the increase.”

Kaplan is also running extra premises in London for the second year near Russell Square to complement its Covent Garden and Leicester Square schools.
Open July 2 to August 24 and accommodating 450, the school expects good business from London’s summer events and has not suffered the “Olympics effect” – a loss of regular tourism that has hit some schools in the capital.
“We don’t believe the Olympics has had a negative impact on our business and it’s been great that our students have had the opportunity to experience the Jubilee celebrations. Some of them will also be lucky enough to attend some of the Olympic events,” said the spokesperson.
Both pop-ups promise the same standards as their sister schools plus extensive educational resources, free WiFi and other mod cons.
