INSEAD, an international business school chain that brands itself “The Business School for the World’, has just launched new executive programmes for the Asian market on its Singapore campus. The Asia section of the Global Executive Master of Business Administration (GEMBA) programme will mainly run at its Asian campus this academic year, while the Advanced Management Programme (AMP), held at the same campus, will start in March 2012.
Aimed at busy executives who are already working, half of the GEMBA Asia section programme, which lasts 17 months, will run during the weekend so participants can spend minimal time away from the office. The course will be the third addition to Insead’s GEMBA course profile; there are currently courses held mostly at the France and UAE campuses.
Alvin Tan, assistant managing director at the Singapore Economic Development Board, said: “We are delighted that Insead will be introducing the GEMBA and AMP in Singapore. There is a strong demand for leaders, as companies expand in Asia, to tap the growth opportunities here.”
There are also plans to expand the Singapore campus as demand rises for executive education in this region.
