ILSC Education Group has launched a program for high school students seeking to learn English while completing high school credit courses recognised across Canada, Australia, India and beyond.

The ILSC High School Program is available online or in a blended format at the provider’s language school in Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, and New Delhi in India.

“ESL-High School Bridge students can get a head start on completing high school academic credits”

In partnership with online learning specialist TVO ILC, ILSC will offer students its English for Academic Purposes for students aged 16+ or ESL High School Bridge classes for those aged 12-17 combined with TVO ILC’s online high school credit either at ILSC locations or at home.

“The program will provide an even more comprehensive learning package to support our University Pathway and ESL-High School Bridge students on their journeys towards reaching their high school and higher education goals,” president and chief operating officer at ILSC Education Group Christopher Mediratta said in a statement.

The partnership will help university pathway students to “fulfil not only their language entry requirement, but any high school academic prerequisites they need to enter and start their college, TAFE or university program with confidence”, Mediratta noted.

“ESL-High School Bridge students can get a head start on completing high school academic credits in English for an easier transition to a Canadian high school classroom,” he added.

TVO ILC – which is Ontario’s Ministry of Education’s online learning partner – and ILSC suggested that student demand for international pathway programs is a trend that is expected to increase.

“We share a common vision to help international students achieve academic success in their pursuit of post-secondary goals,” Roger Ramlalsingh general manager ILC Operations and Business Development at TVO explained.

“As the Ontario Ministry of Education’s designated partner in distance education, TVO ILC courses meet and exceed the Ontario Ministry of Education’s strict requirements.

“TVO ILC offers ILSC students a variety of pathways to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma meeting all post-secondary admission requirements from STEM to business studies to the arts.”

The new ILSC High School Program consists of three packaged program options, including Individual Credits, Fast Track to Higher Education with a customised suite of six high school credits, and a Foundation Year option for students seeking a full Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
