Global networking company ICEF staged its first ever roadshow last month enabling education institutions to meet agencies at events in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, Korea. Participants numbered 245 and came from 13 countries to attend the two events, the company reports.
More such events will be on the agenda, said a spokesperson. “The aim of ICEF Roadshows is to reach out to agents in key markets who otherwise might not have the opportunity or means to attend global, regional or destination ICEF events,” said a spokesperson. “Following the success of this Japan – Korea Roadshow, ICEF intends to expand its roadshow programme in the future.”
“This roadshow format provided a perfect opportunity for us to visit two important markets in one trip, which might otherwise not have been feasible,” commented Clayton Smith of the University of Windsor, Canada.
Meanwhile, continuing its commitment to the ICEF Education Fund, the latest beneficiary has been announced as Bosana, which provides after-school tuition and activities for at-risk children and orphans in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
ICEF has contributed US$1500 and encourages others in the international education community to support its causes, which now number 10 education-related projects around the world.
