The most recent ICEF Asia Workshop held in Beijing, China earlier this month welcomed 154 agencies from across the region (and some from the USA and Canada too) to represent a pan-Asian delegation of education agencies looking to expand their business opportunities.
Countries represented by delegates were China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Phillipines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, as well as USA and Canada.
Those attending the workshop spoke of good opportunities to broker business and the organisers reported a 98% cohort rating the event as good or excellent. In total, 126 education institutions were represented at the event.
“The workshop provided the perfect opportunity for educators like us who are looking to internationalise their institution through a quality agent network” said Thirunavukkarasu V. Gopal of SRM University, India.
Agent attendee, Xiaoyu Yu of Global Education & Technology Group Ltd. in China, added, “The workshop is a great opportunity for agents to meet with the best institutions and seek future development and cooperation.”
The evening entertainment included traditional Chinese artists (pictured) and acrobats, while ICEF also organised sightseeing trips after the event.
The next ICEF Workshop takes place Oct 29-31 in Berlin, Germany; the largest event of its kind between agencies and educators.
