Schools are continuing to develop unique educational strategies to better support the success of their students post secondary applications. One way to do so is by offering multiple diplomas.

In an increasingly competitive market, private schools like Fulford Academy in Brockville, Ontario Canada have begun to offer challenging, but rewarding, opportunities through dual diploma high school programs.

Our Dual High School Diploma is a specialised program through Fulford Academy where international students graduate with two high school diplomas:

  • An Ontario Secondary School Diploma – The OSSD is an internationally recognised secondary school credential, from the Ontario Ministry of Education in Canada. The provinces’s education curriculum is consistently evaluated as one of the top five education systems in the world by international ranking systems such as PISA and the World Top 20 Project.
  • A high school diploma from the student’s home country.

The program is ideal for students who display strong academic skills and desire to stand out on university applications.

It also offers specialised streams of studies for students wanting to pursue specific career paths in either the social or applied sciences, and a highly competitive edge when applying to a post-secondary institution due to the commitment of successfully completing this rigorous program.

The Dual High School Diploma Program is all about flexibility.

Students have the option of completing the program entirely online. Those seeking an international learning experience can also opt to complete one semester on campus at Fulford Academy.

Fulford Academy’s goal is to place students in the university chosen by the student and their family, and it offers an extensive guidance and placement service.

The Academy draws upon its strong ties with universities and colleges across Canada and the US, and there are extensive resources within its network to ensure that families are making the right choice based upon the students’ skills and interests.

In addition to having access to a number of post secondary resources, Fulford Academy offers a 100% university acceptance guarantee with scholarships to all of the BAU Global partner universities worldwide, including those in the US, Germany and Turkey.

“Each university has different areas of excellence and we guide students to the institutions that will best nurture personal talents”

We take the time to get to know not only the student’s academic abilities, but also their interests and ability in sports, arts, music, leadership and their career aspirations. Each university has different areas of excellence and we guide students to the institutions that will best nurture personal talents.

The Academy provides appropriate services and support to help students make informed, realistic academic and career choices. Several times a year, students review and revise their academic plans, and all students have weekly opportunities for input and direction from faculty advisors.

Additionally, as a Member School of UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet) in Canada, we are seeking to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all through the Sustainable Development Goal 4.

More specifically, focus on target 4.7 on Global Citizenship Education and Education for Sustainable Development, Fulford Academy aims to develop graduates who will be committed to promoting respect for the rights of others and who will be considerate and appreciative of human differences, and of the constructive expression of ideas.

Fulford Academy offers a unique curriculum with highly differentiated instruction, intensive language support, and an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Arts (STEM +A) ensures competitive admission to global educational institutions.
