Cardiff-based Celtic English Academy has joined the group of independent English language schools Quality English.

The language school expects that collaboration with the organisation, which runs agent workshops among other services, will help the school recover and “thrive again”. Additionally, QE’s logo – which member schools carry – is assurance that students “will have rewarding and enjoyable experiences, whilst improving their English Language skills”.

“We are delighted to join Quality English which will give our students and partners confidence and reassurance in the quality and consistent services that we offer,” chief executive of CEA, Shoko Doherty, noted.

“Joining QE will help us further to add Cardiff and Wales to the global map of the study travel industry, and we are confident that this will help us recover and thrive again after the challenges of the last two years.”

CEA, which won an Gold Standard FairPlay Employer Award in 2021, has said that it is expanding its international presence in Latin America, Japan and the Middle East.

The network held agent workshops in Madrid and Rome during March, the first in-person event QE has hosted in over two years. It will also host agent workshops in Colombia, Brazil, Turkey, Spain and Italy later in 2022, as well as more online e-Missions.

“We received excellent feedback about CEA and the hands-on management of Shoko and her team,” QE chief executive, Jonathan Swindell, said in a statement.

“I visited the school earlier this year and was extremely impressed by the premises, facilities and the welcoming nature of the staff.”

QE has 32 other independent English language school members across the UK.

“CEA becomes the second QE school in Wales, alongside CELT, and we very much look forward to working with both CEA and CELT over the coming years to help introduce students and agents to the wonderful city of Cardiff,” Swindell added.
