Cambridge Education Group is further expanding its on-campus pathway provision in the UK through a partnership with the University of Hull.
ONCAMPUS Hull will offer undergraduate foundation programmes in Business and Engineering and will welcome its first students in January 2016.
This will be CEG’s sixth ONCAMPUS centre in the UK and 11th globally, following its recent partnership with Lund University in Sweden.
“We’re anticipating it will become as large as our ONCAMPUS Coventry centre, which will have over 500 students”
There will be around 30 students in the first cohort, a number which is expected to rise significantly over time.
“We’re anticipating it will become as large as our ONCAMPUS Coventry centre, which will have over 500 students starting programmes this September,” a CEG spokesperson told The PIE News.
Students who successfully complete the one-year course will be guaranteed entry into a range of undergraduate Business and Engineering degrees at the University of Hull, including the four year integrated Masters degree in Engineering.
The University of Hull was recently rated five stars for its internationalisation, teaching, employability and facilities by QS World University Rankings.
“This demonstrates the University’s global outlook and continued commitment to providing first-class learning and teaching, as well as an outstanding student experience,” its vice chancellor, Calie Pistorius, commented.
There are currently around 1,500 international students enrolled at the university, and the foundation degree will help the university to attract a “wider range” of overseas students, according to Pistorius.
“We look forward to offering Foundation Programmes in Business and Engineering, which are some of our most popular subject areas,” he added.
