Technology company Enroly has launched a new product to help universities benchmark their international admissions performance against the sector.
According to recent data from Enroly, the average number of dependants brought to the UK by an international post-graduate student is 1.6.
UK universities are at risk of missing student growth targets as a result of reaching CAS limits meaning successful prospective international applicants cannot access student visas, but latest statistics suggest that in the year up to June 2022 study visas granted is 71% more than 2019.
The downside to higher demand is that institutions have to pay the operational cost of processing tens of thousands of applications that are inevitably unsuccessful. The PIE talked to providers in the UK, as they pitched their solutions on offer.
Visa processing data from Enroly indicates that the current rate of visas issued is not keeping pace with recent increases in CAS issuance, during the peak period for applications.
Enroly has raised a further £1.5 million as it remains on track to have 30% of UK universities using its CAS Shield product in the next academic year.
