Listings website Hotcourses Abroad has launched a photography contest to promote the universities and colleges featured on its network of local searching sites.
Submissions will be posted on the Hotcourses Facebook pages where 1 million followers will vote for their favourite image. The top three institutions will receive scholarships to pass on to any international student of their choosing.
“We work alongside some of the most prestigious education institutions around the world, and we’re proud of that,” said Paul Ellett, Digital Media Content Editor at Hotcourses Abroad. “Each has their own identity and anything which gets those unique aspects across to students is something we want to be a part of.”
Submitted photos will ideally be unique to the contest or have been used only once or twice on social media channels– nothing that has been widely distributed in on or offline marketing campaigns.
Ellett says they want universities to be as creative as possible and submit an image that captures their history, traditions or ethos.
“We’re looking for an image which highlights something unique or special about that university or college – something which makes it special and stand out,” he said.
The top three institutions as voted by Facebook followers will receive one of three scholarships for an enrolled international student sponsored by Hotcourses Abroad worth £500, £300 or £200 (or local currency equivalent).
Students who vote for the winning image will also be entered into a draw to win one of 15 Amazon vouchers.
Universities or colleges who want to participate should get in touch with Ellett directly at paul.ellett@hotcourses.com. Submissions will be accepted until March 28.
