“This partnership gives Colombian students the routes into leading UK universities that they want”
The IFY Business Stream is set to launch in October 2014, joining more than 30 existing ‘delivery centres’ that work in partnership with NCUK.
Peter Dale, Operations Director at St Peter’s, said that NCUK’s IFY is a “proven and effective route” for international students to study in the UK. Students enrolled on its programmes currently will have the opportunity to study on more than 3000 degree courses on completion.
NCUK, whose headquarters are in Manchester, began working with international students in 1987 and now operates in 10 countries. It opened its third centre in Nigeria earlier this year and has plans to expand into more countries over the coming years.
Director of Marketing, Piera Gerrard, said that NCUK is particularly interested in exploring further exploration into Latin America. “This partnership with St Peter’s allows us to do this, as well as giving Colombian students the routes into leading UK universities that they want,” she said.
The IFY costs just over £6000 per year. Members of NCUK are University of Bradford, University of Huddersfield, University of Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan University, University of Liverpool, Liverpool JMU, University of Manchester, Manchester Met, University of Salford, University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam.
