"Michigan Language Assessment will be able to offer people the opportunity to take the MET in their homes"

It is hoped that by utilising Prometric’s remote test-delivery platform ProProctor™ and its testing network, Michigan Language Assessment will be able to offer people the opportunity to take the MET in their homes on any day of the year, from “almost anywhere in the world”.

Michigan Language Assessment is itself a joint venture between the University of Michigan and Cambridge Assessment English.

“The partnership with Prometric is a big step in the evolution of our organisation,” said Sharon Harvey, CEO of Michigan Language Assessment.

“We’ve been providing secure, reliable, and trusted English exams for nearly seventy years; we’re committed to helping people achieve their education and career goals.

“The partnership with Prometric is a big step in the evolution of our organisation”

“With Prometric as a partner, we can continue to expand our global outreach by offering test takers, teachers, school administrators, and recognising organisations throughout the world a secure, digital version of MET.”

MET will not only be available at-home. Prometric’s “vast global network of physical test centres” means that Michigan Language Assessment can offer the exam in countries and regions not previously serviced by Michigan Language Assessments existing network of authorised test centres.

“Prometric is pleased to have been selected by Michigan Language Assessment to enhance the delivery capabilities of MET,” said Sean Burke, Prometric’s chief client officer.

“We are proud to leverage our industry-leading test delivery solutions to bolster access for those seeking to advance their English language proficiency.”
