The school enrols over 3,000 students a year across its Brisbane, Gold Coast and virtual campuses

Initially launched in 2014, the school will now offer international and domestic students Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma of Business, with the first intake earlier in September.

“We have seen in an increase in interest from students looking to further their learning in career-based training that translates into the workplace”

Unlike other VET providers in Australia, BROWNS will continue to offer specialised English training, BROWNS founder and managing director Richard Brown said.

“We have seen in an increase in interest from students looking to further their learning in career-based training that translates into the workplace. However, we found that most vocational colleges offered little in the way of English support,” Brown explained.

“We see this as a huge advantage for international students studying at BROWNS to be able to access our English conversation and career workshops, academic support, and free online English learning resources.”

BROWNS Professional’s global environment and expert training, including real-world business experience, aims to prepare students for a career in business or a pathway to higher education.

The Diploma of Business offers a direct pathway into Business degrees at some of Australia’s leading universities.

“We’re passionate about improving the quality of the pathway experience for students in Queensland and Australia,” Brown added.

BROWNS Professional courses are offered face-to-face at the Brisbane and Gold Coast campuses, however due to current Covid-19 conditions, lessons will initially be delivered online through the BROWNS Virtual platform, the provider added.

“We didn’t want our students to be disadvantaged by the travel restrictions so it was clear that we must continue to deliver our programs online so that once international borders open, students will be ready to commence their studies at a partner university, TAFE, college, primary school or high school,” Brown continued.

“We’re offering them the opportunity to start studying from home now and finish in Australia.”

BROWNS has made “a significant investment” into its online learning and digital technologies, including a custom-built learning management system and a professional broadcast quality studio.
