Sinorbis has now appointed its first chief marketing officer, Vijay Solanki, who brings 30 years of marketing leadership experience across a variety of industries and brands, including Unilever, BP/Castrol, lastminute.com and Philips, to the role. Solanki was also founding marketing director of Shazam – the app that identifies songs by sound (acquired by Apple), and more recently the CEO of the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) in Australia. “Bringing a CMO with Solanki’s experience on board builds out Sinorbis team’s capability significantly ahead of our international expansion,” CEO and founder Nicolas Chu said. Vijay joins the MarTech start-up as it announces a big expansion to Europe and the North American markets as it aims to grow by more than four times by 2025.
