Western Sydney University, Australia. Thorsten Wilhelm has recently moved to Western Sydney University to look after its International Development and Global Strategy in a bid to strengthen its brand recognition on international terrain. Apart from a focus on the diversification of revenue channels, leveraging partnerships in industry, education and student recruitment, the newly created role will see Thorsten shape the strategic development of joint degrees/ dual qualifications, transnational and articulation programs, as well as innovative new collaborations across research, curriculum development and industry engagement. Thorsten has 15 years of experience in the international education sector through his previous work with TAFE NSW, the University of New South Wales and recently as General Manager at the Education Centre of Australia overseeing ELICOS, VET, HE, university partnership and TNE programs.
