APAIE, Australia. Susan has made history by becoming the first Australian and first female president of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE). A record number of delegates, over 1,600, attended the event in Melbourne this year from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Her leadership signals an exciting time of growth and opportunity for APAIE. She was appointed to the role of Vice-President in March 2014. Susan is also the University of Melbourne’s Deputy Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor International and is responsible for roles including the strategic leadership of the university’s international engagement, partnerships and programmes and student global mobility.
